End of an Era
The football season came to a close last weekend and for the first time since 1998 Man Utd ended up trophyless. I'm not going to moan like the rest of the United fans and say "we was robbed" because it's not true. Arsenal won the league because they were the best team (apart from Everton of course) and deserved to win it. They played the best football, had the best team and had the second best player. If Arsenal had Andy Cole, then they would never have lost a game all season (and how is Darius Vassell in the England squad ahead of Andy Cole? I don't know, sometimes I think maybe I'm the only person that sees the ability he possesses).

United had a good season, they finised third and got to the semi-finals of the Champions League. For the majority of clubs, that would be an outstanding season. It's only because such high standards have been set in the last few years that this season is deemed a "disappointment". If Southport had done what United did this season then I think Phil Wilson's job would be a little more secure. As it is, United think the whole world is against them and that events conspired against them. It isn't and they didn't. Be realistic, we're still one of the best teams in Europe and it's not like this was the last ever football season and there's never any possibility of them winning anything ever again. Of course, if they hadn't sold Andy Cole, it could have all been so different...
