Living in the Past
York Vision, my University's award-winning newspaper, has just started a computer games section, and lo and behold they needed someone to edit said section. Can you guess who the new editor is?

Wayne Rooney? Er...
Ruud van Nistelrooy? What...
The imfamous Andy Cole? Closer...
The immortal D'lo Brown? Almost...

Alex Rimmer? Wooo!

That's right, I get sent free computer games, have to write a couple of hundred words on them, and then (this is the best bit) I get to keep them! That's right, anything you review you get to keep. God does indeed work in mysterious ways. Ah, bliss.

Stumbled across this in a politics journal today:

That thing they call life
Well, I'm a little later than expected but better late than never. Hopefully, this will be the first of some more regular posts. I don't want to say too much now as I'm pressed for time, but I have been enjoying:

- GTA: Vice City and Pro Evolution Soccer 2 on PlayStation2 (plus the new SmackDown! game on Friday)
- Star Wars Episode II on DVD
- Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head on CD
- The new series of Buffy on BBC2 (Season 6, yeah I know we're behind but that's British TV for you)
- 28 Days Later at the cinema (a good British film that ISN'T a romantic comedy with Hugh Grant)

Oh, and of course that little thing I like to call my Politics degree. But you know, you need to get your priorities straight.

Simply the Best
A quick congratulations to my housemate Laura, who won Best Student Website of the Year at the Guradian Student Media Awards last week (she's the web editor for the site). Her photo was in the Guardian yesterday, (not the best photo of her mind you, but she cooks a mean pasta dish so I can't make too much fun of her). So, congratulations to her, she wins a week's work experience at the Guardian which is highly amusing because she reads the Telegraph and is really right-wing. Haha.

Anyway, peace out people, I'll be back soon.
